Real Madrid offer Vinícius Júnior €22M per year new deal – sources

Real Madrid has made a substantial contract proposal to Vinícius Júnior following the World Cup, as confirmed by sources to ESPN. This new offer marks a renewal of discussions that had been inactive for almost a year.

Recent weeks have seen rising speculation regarding the future of the Brazilian winger, whose current contract with the club is set to expire in June 2027. Notably, Premier League champions Arsenal have shown interest in the player.

According to sources, Real Madrid’s latest offer is worth approximately €22 million ($25 million) annually. This figure reflects an increase from what the club had been willing to negotiate during the previous two seasons. However, the length of the proposed contract extension remains undisclosed.

Despite this improved offer, there is still a considerable gap between Madrid’s proposal and Vinícius Júnior’s salary demands, which are around €30 million. Additionally, the duration of this new offer is yet to be clarified.

Currently, Vinícius earns about €17.5 million per year as he heads into the final year of his existing deal. If a renewal doesn’t occur, he could leave the Bernabéu as a free agent at the season’s end. Furthermore, he would be eligible to sign a pre-contract with another club starting in January.

Sources have indicated that both the player and his representatives see this as a crucial contract in Vinícius’s career, given that he is now 26 years old.
